July 2006

In order to escape the miserable heat that has been plaguing Southern California lately, Roger and Eileen decided it would be a great time to visit the backside of Catalina Island.  After spending a few nights in Descanso Cove near Avalon for a night or two, they headed around the island to Cat Harbor.  It  seemed like a wonderful, beautiful and sunny week, the two of them spent time fishing, reading, painting and generally relaxing.  I'm even hearing rumors that Eileen once again got one of the biggest fish.  Here all these years, who would of known Eileen was actually a good fishermen.  Hmmm???

Look at that turquoise water.  Pretty anchorage.  I feel like I could just jump right in and go for a swim.

Going for a hike on the island around Cat Harbor.

Here's another picture of the King's Pride anchored in Cat Harbor.

A nice barred sand bass caught by dad.    Bet that was the main course for dinner.
