CRAB SEASON .. updated 09-26-2011
Our first year 2011 on the Hood Canal, Washington. Out of the Alderbrook Resort using a rental pontoon boat. Good job Capt. Jen!!

Eileen says "I have the perfect bait". Although, Chicken & Turkey legs work better".

Dad says "Maybe, we should have a beer here at the Alderbrook Resort before pulling those Crab Cages".
Well, we had two with lunch and then napped for an hour. Then, we headed back out for more hard work. HiHi!

Capt Jen says "Wow! On my first pull and look at all those Dungeness Crabs".
.
Eileen says "Is it a male or female? Let's measure him for the pot".
.
Jen says "Five of them are males and are legal keepers. Score: Jen 5 - Dad 1".
.
Bowie says "Just a little lick of one of these critters. Ouch!"
.
Jen says "Ok, 20 minutes in the boiling pot, then, 5 minutes on the BBQ".
.
Jen says "Dad, get the butter ready. Anybody got any pliers? "
.
Jen has some left over for the freezer.
Side note: They made for a great celebration dinner at the new cottage at Lake Tyee.
