LOBSTER SEASON OPENER .. updated 11-27-2011

Our Best year 2007 on Oscar 5 mooring at Catalina Island.  I have never seen such large lobsters.  Good job Dad!!

I think this is the biggest lobster I have seen outside of a marine preserve or sanctuary.

Hmmmm??..Nah..they wouldn't do that.  Not with a daughter in the marine biology field.  Hehe!!

This year 2011 on Oscar 9 mooring at Catalina Island, we had slim pickings.

Maybe because we were a little late. But we did manage a couple keepers for dinner.

Well, we even brought the small ice chest for the late trip.

Thankfully, the mackerel were there for our bait box.

Yes, but still we had unwanted guests.

And just like last year they drank their share of Jennifer's RUM.

This year 2010 on Oscar 7 mooring at Catalina Island was a lot more FUN with hungry guests. The DECKs & the TICEHURSTs.

We kept up the tradition of walking our new pet but just as we were coming up with a name, Mom & I got real hungry.

Well you know Eileen loves her Lobster tail right off the grill.

No, Dena, this is not another Science Project. But, you can make the legal measuremnt for the King's Pride boiling pot. HiHi

Well, Steve, this Calico Bass would make a great addition to the aquarium and we do love that shirt.

Here's the SV King's Pride on Oscar 7 awaiting nightfall for the night's Drop of the Nets party.

This year SV Kashmira joined us for the FUN of pulling Hoop Nets.

This year 2007 on Oscar 5 mooring at Catalina Island was our first year.

A cooler full of lobster.

And they did share the horns with their daughter at the Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque.

This was their small catch.  Geesh!!

Oh man....She is enjoying that lobster waaaaay too much!!

And with their great success at lobster fishing....Roger has even made himself a flag to celebrate his catch.
